BEFORE THE FIRST CLASS, WEDNESDAY MARCH 02

STEP 1: CREATE A BLOG AT http://www.blogger.com/

STEP 2 & 3: POST THREE IMAGES AND WRITE A PARAGRAPH UNDER EACH OF THE IMAGES THAT TELLS US SOMETHING INTERESTING ABOUT THEM

A: YOUR BEST PIECE OF CREATIVE WORK BEFORE COMING TO THIS COURSE, THINK LATERALLY IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE "CONVENTIONAL" ART OR DESIGN WORK

CHOCOLATE: This Chocolate cake not only looks good but it tasted absolutely amazing. Blood, sweat and tears went into creating this divine chunk of heaven and it was created to mark a very special occasion, the day that an exceptional person touched down in Australia to meet me. The celebration could not have been teamed up with anything better than this chocolaty creation.

B: AN IMAGE OF A GREAT PIECE OF ARCHITECTURE
LLOYDS BUILDING: The Llyods Building is an outstanding structure in an ideal location. This building took me by surprise when I first saw it but the more I got to know about the building the more en-captured I became by it. There is something so interesting about a building that works on both the inside and outside on so many levels.

C: AN ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPH OF SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL

LIGHT: After embarking on a 22km bush walk and not seeing much sunlight for hours made these shimmering rays look like absolute beauty. It is incredible how something that we take for granted on a daily basis can be captured in a way that becomes awe inspiring. This light was giving new life to everything that it was touching.

STEP 4: FIND AN IMAGE SHOWING A WORK OF ART FROM EACH OF THE ARTISTS BELOW (THEY WILL BE YOUR CLIENTS IN EXPERIMENT 1) AND DESCRIBE IT USING A NOUN, VERB AND ADJECTIVE

MUECK: AGE, WHISPER, LIFELIKE

MALANGI: LEADER, HUNT, SIMPLE

BANKSY: SOCIETY, PLEDGE, REAL

STEP 5: PURCHASE AN ARTLINE 0.5MM BLACK PEN, AND A SQUARED CAHIER POCKET MOLESKIN NOTEBOOK (YOU CAN GET THESE FROM THE UNSW BOOKHOP)

STEP 6: IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO GET AHEAD, DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL GOOGLE SKETCHUP 8
