The juxtaposition between the large scale of Lady Gaga's office and Oprah Winfrey's office suggests that Gaga's power is at its peak, whereas Oprah is standing down and is also at the beginning of her retirement.

It is necessary for Lady Gaga to have outward influences to make her feel powerful; both her young age and point in which she's at in her career means that she is still building her 'monster empire'. Her image needs to be over-the-top not only for her fans but also for herself. To become something you first must believe in it yourself.

Oprah's office is lower to the ground creating more of an attachment to the earth. Oprah's 'fame roots' are firmly planted in Hollywood and her 'O' symbol is somewhat a brand for women all over the world. The idea of Oprah being at the core of her universe is represented in the movement of the office to release the lift in an orbital motion.

The idea of the meeting place was to create an area that blended in with the surrounding environment so as not to influence either client. The large rectilinear shape creates a simplistic picture frame view of the far horizon. Both of these clients are famous on a worldly scale, and to see no more world beyond the horizon explicitly implies that there is room out there to grow and to create.

The dining table feeds out from a large platform that could easily double as a stage. Both clients are performers and could therefore host a show and express new ideas or rehearse in this area. The simplicity allows the horizon to be the main focus and creates room for both clients to be expressive without any other influences while at the same time, still having their little personal touch (ie. textures).

EXP 3: Draft 2 - Images

My terrain and textures are now complete and I am happy with the result of the layered rock and the contrasting green water.

I have decided to have both Lady Gaga and Oprah start in the same position. This is so they both begin the journey equally and their sense of power is brought on by the journey that they individually take to their separate offices.

Oprah's office not built yet but this image shows the position of her lift where the office will be. Lady Gaga's office has been finished and sits predominately on top of the mountain in front of Oprah. The outline of the bridge/ rail is also shown here and where they will meet.

Gaga's office is set into the mountain. I will make the office 'closed' to start off with and this is the 'open' position, up and outward to the sky with bold lines giving of a fierce kind of power. The circular placement also creates a sense of safety allowing Gaga to feel power even more.

This shows the full outline of where the lifts start and the journey they will take to the neutral meeting place.
